无法安装 VMware Tools

如果 VMware Tools 安装在设置 BINDIR 之前停止（发生在第一个提示问题之后），安装程序将提前停止并显示以下消息：

A previous installation of VMware Tools has been detected.

The previous installation was made by the tar installer (version 4).

Keeping the tar4 installer database format.

You have a version of VMware Tools installed. Continuing this install will
first uninstall the currently installed version. Do you wish to continue?
(yes/no) [yes]

如果选择是，将会显示以下错误消息：

Error: Unable to find the binary installation directory (answer BINDIR)
in the installer database file "/etc/vmware-tools/locations".

Uninstall failed. Please correct the failure and re run the install.

Execution aborted.

需要删除locations文件。rm f /etc/vmware-tools/locations
再次重新安装 VMware Tools。
