为什么要安装VMware Tools？

在虚拟机上右击 > 客户机操作系统 > 安装 VMware tools。
然后在Guest OS里通过光驱里安装文件进行安装即可。

安装tools 有两大好处：增加功能和提高性能

- SVGA display
- VMXNET/VMXNET3
- Balloon driver for memory management (内存回收机制)
- Sync driver for quiescing I/O
Increased graphics performance
Improved mouse performance
Guest OS heartbeat service (HA)
Time synchronization
Ability to shut down the VM

不论是Windows 还是 Linux，都建议安装tools，Windows有性能提升，比如Windows使用的网卡驱动是完全虚拟化驱动（模拟驱动），安装了 Tools 后就可以使用半虚拟化驱动，提高性能。Linux的很多东西都是原生的，不需要向windows一样通过tools变成半虚拟化形式，性能不见得有提升，但是可以使用高级特性。
